General nephrology follow-up 4 months. \nIt was lovely to see Mrs Hunt at my general nephrology clinic today. She had a recent inpatient stay \nwith profound anaemia, with a haemoglobin of 61, and she was transfused 1 unit of packed red cells, She \ngave no symptoms of anaemia today, but clid look pale, | have updated ali her bloods at clinic today, \npresuming that she remains significantly anaemic, \nI will refer her to our Renal Anaemia Team to start some regular intravenous iron infusions, If her \nhaemoglobin has dropped significantly again then | will arrange an outpatient blood transfusion. \nHer renal biochemistry has been a bit more stable since she stopped taking the regular non-steroidals. \nShe does have significant CKD with an eGFR of 25 and creatinine clearance of only 19 \u2014 which might be \nmore accurate given her extreme low body weight. I will await today*s UKEs before making any changes \nto her potassium citrate mixture, { will plan to do some tubular genotyping when Patricia returns to the \nclinic next time. \nYours sincerely
