Improvements in Tanya\u2019s \nbehaviour followed on from the establishment of good relationships with staff and it is \napparent that Tanya herself is making strong efforts to improve by not seeking \nattention in such extreme ways. Another factor identified in the course of discussion \nas being important in order to help reduce this attention-seeking behaviour is good \ncommunication between Scottish Borders staff and staff at the Good Shepherd Centre. \nSuch communication helps to reduce disruption arising from Tanya\u2019s reports of how \nshe has got on in different situations. | indicated that she was convinced that \nTanya\u2019s attention-seeking is well under control. - noted that there was an \nextreme incident before Christmas and following a warning that the placement at the \nGood Shepherd Centre would be terminated unltess her behaviour settled, Tanya\u2019s \nattention-sceking did settle considerably. \nB o:cd that attendance atGlenview has been cut out and this has reduced \nscope for manipulation by Tanya. A session worker has been identified to support \nTanya on Sundays and Tanya is going home every weekend and spending holidays at \nhome. The Social Work Department are planning to build in more support for Tanya \nover the Easter holidays and Tanya continues to receive regular visits from - \nand her former key worker from Glenview. ||| llndicated that \nTanya has been referred to the Through-Care Team, a Social Work team based in the \nBorders, who will concentrate on the development of independent living skills and \ncould provide ongoing support; in the eventuality that her home situation deteriorates \nthey would be expected to be able to arrange supported accommodation for Tanya. \nticipated that the Through-Care Team would take on primary Soctal \nWork responsibility for Tanya and she would return full time to the Borders. \niemphasised that a new Social Worker might be susceptible to \nmanipulation by Tanya and that this would need to be addressed in prior planning. \nI o<
